Make Your Own Z-Palette

I went to Ulta today and got the Ulta 64 pc kit (which by the way has very nice makeup).  It was on sale from $19.99 to $14.00 and then I used a $3.50 off coupon.   I was looking at it in my car and was thinking about what a waste of space all this plastic is.  So I ran to Michael's and picked up a magnetic sheet.  It costs $10.99 but I used a 40% of coupon.  I popped out the plastic inserts, used a lighter to melt the glue and carefully popped out the makeup.
I had to repress like 3 of them.  I then cut out the names from the plastic cover and stuck them on  the back (there was still lots of glue from the palette).  Then I took some of the magnetic sheet and cut it into squares and popped them on the back.  I depotted most my eyeshadows and bronzers/blushes and put them in the case.  Some of them were already magnetized so I didn't have to do anything.  I then lined the bottoms of the case with the magnetic roll, and PRESTO, I have my own pretty Z palette.

Here is the final palette.

I also went ahead and depotted my 32 lip palette and turned that into a Z-Palette as well.  I did this without heat too because my hairdryer is packed away.    I wasn't about to take a lighter to this palette and ruin it  :P.

  1. Very crafty idea! I have an eye shadow palette that I only use half of; should just pop the ones I use out and make a much smaller container for them. On my "to-do" list now
