Lorac Time to Shine Palette Swatch and Review

I LOVE the palette itself.  It looks like a glittery clutch.  I wish you could remove the palette and use it as a wallet or something!   The eyeshadows are very pretty too.  I wasn't to crazy about the white one (again I have problems with the white).  The rest of the colors are gorgeous!!  The palette does shed here and there so be prepared for glitter!

Stila Haute in the Hamptons Review

I bought this Stila Haute in the Hamptons palette a couple days ago from Beautybar.com to add to my Stila collection.  I love all the color except the white one.  It takes a bit to build up.  I usually have trouble with white eyeshadows.  It might be because my skin is pretty tan so the white may work better for others.  Other than that I have no complaints.  The colors are all silky and not powdery.

Gray Skies

I was wearing gray, black and gray/blue bermudas today so I decided to go with that color scheme.  My eyeshadow looks like it's creased but I guarantee you it's not lol!

I had a lot of trouble with this look today. The 88 palette was not staying on very well for some reason. I had to build A LOT and then I even had to take an ELF pink and go over the 88 pink. I've never had trouble with this palette before. It's just one of those days.

Fake MAC

So many many months ago I found this seller selling "MAC".   At the time I wasn't sure if they were real or not because I had never used MAC before.    After receiving them I found out they were fakes.  The pigments didn't have the right labels on the bottom and the inside plastic piece was a cone instead of flat.  They were also only about 75% full.  As for the palettes.

Happy Easter everyone!  I'm being extremely lazy today, watching movies, playing computer games and drinking beer!  ELF haul and review still to come.  I ordered the 100 color palette and the complexion perfection powders and they came shattered!  So I wrote ELF and am still waiting to hear back.  So Far from the swatches I did of the palette I'm not really impressed.  A couple of the colors have 0 color.  Nothing comes off on my finger or brush.  I even scratched into it and then took the powder and tried to swatch it and nothing :P.  Maybe I just have a bad palette?  The other items I have gotten so far seem to be pretty good.  I'll go more into depth after this broken makeup problem is resolved!  Also coming up, makeup tips/tricks, and some more swatches.  I haven't had much inspiration for a makeup tutorial yet, Easter just seemed to obvious.  Anyways, stay tuned ♥!

TKB Haul Swatches & Review

So I finally gave in and bought some TKB Trading pigments (No I'm not being paid or asked to do this review).  The samples are only $1.50 each and you get a TABLESPOON!  That amount is amazing!  If you buy collections then they are even cheaper than $1.50 a piece.  You can buy an ounce for 3-5 bucks.  Shipping is very cheap too, I only paid 3 bucks.  The color payoff here is AMAZING.  I will definitely be collecting EVERY color.

Intro ♥

This is my first blog ever.  I honestly hate typing but am too shy for youtube lol.  This blog is going to be full of makeup tutorials and reviews, fashion and i will probably throw some video games in too.  I've been watching youtube tutorials for a while now but I can't fully relate because I'm asian and have different eyes than all the top gurus so nothing ever looks the same.  I've learned quite a bit.  My old makeup routine was foundation, eyeliner and mascara....sometimes eyeshadow.  My eyes have now been opened to the wonders makeup can do!

The point of my blog is to not only give makeup tips for people with my eye shape, but also help out the people who are just starting to get into it as well as people on a budget.  Most the gurus out there use nothing but high end cosmetics which not everyone can afford.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, it's just I personally would rather spend my money elsewhere.   In my opinion, if it works just as well or close to high end, then why spend the money.  AGAIN, I'm not knocking anyone who uses nothing but high end stuff, I use it too♥ I've just never had a problem with drugstore brands!   So most of my looks will be done using drugstore brands including NYX & Palladio. 

OK, so in case you were wondering about my eye shape.  I had a monolid until I was about 22 or so.  Then all of a sudden I had a double eyelid (weird I know).  It's not a typical double eyelid either.  A monolid kind of folds under near the lashes (kind of hiding the lashline) instead of at the crease while a double typically just folds at the crease.  Mine does both except it doesn't fold exactly at the crease.  I honestly don't know if that typical for an asian double lid or what but it really makes putting on makeup more difficult.

ok enough rambling from me.  Coming up this week will be my ELF haul/swatches/review possibly some looks.  I finally went and checked out their website and bought like 85 bucks worth of stuff o.O
